BDO Cash Card

This cash card has two types for individuals:
Pre-Embossed:  Hindi nakalagay ang pangalan mo sa card. Makukuha mo agad ang card when you apply. The maximum balance limit is 10,000 pesos.
Embossed:  Ilalagay ang name mo sa card. Wait for 3 to 5 days, then you go back to BDO to claim the card. The maximum balance limit is 25,000 pesos.
  • Withdrawal is through ATM only.  Free, but there’s a limit of 5 withdrawals per day.
  • To get this card, go to a BDO branch and apply with your ID.  You pay about 150 pesos for the card (amount might have changed).
  • Minimum reload or deposit is 100 pesos.  No deposit charge, it’s free.
  • To deposit, you go to BDO and fill up the Card Sale/Reload Slip.
  • You can attach this to your BDO Internet banking account and transfer money to it.  The same for phone and mobile banking.
  • You can also deposit through the ATM.
  • You can use it to pay your bills through the ATM, Internet, phone and mobile banking.
  • There’s a dormancy charge:  you must do at least one transaction every 6 months (for Pre-Embossed) and every 12 months (for Embossed)
  • You cannot use this for telephone or mail orders.

Best Banks in the Philippines 2013

BY FEHL
The following are the lists of best banks in the Philippines for 2013. The lists include the best commercial banks as to assets, deposits, capital, and loans. It would be great to have savings and investments with them. If you are still a student and you are looking for the best bank to work for, they are also recommended.
Taken from their published balance sheets, I have summed up the useful values and amounts associated with their assets, capital, loans and deposits. Notice that I listed the official data for December 2012. I will add the data for December 2013 once it’s available. It’s expected to be available after the last quarter of 2013 so stay tuned. I will also put the difference between the 2012 and 2013 so we could know the changes and so that we can compare the 2-year ratio and whether they have increased or decreased.
top ten best banks philippines 2013I consider the following as the best bank of the Philippines to be banking with this 2013 because of impressive growth last 2012. The top 3 are always BDO (Banco de Oro), Metrobank, and BPI (Bank of the Philippine Islands). It’s obvious why BDO came up to the rank number 1 because it started the bank operations for the weekends and because every SM mall has BDO. I can say BDO, Metrobank and BPI are also the best banks in terms of investment. Euromoney cited Metrobank as the best bank in the country for the past few years. Let’s see this 2013 if PNB would climb up since it acquired Allied Bank on February.
The data below are based from their December 2012 published balance sheets. I will add the data for 2013 once available.
